Brandon Ridinger Bio
My name is Brandon Ridinger and I came on board as the Director of Technology in May of 2022. I was born and raised in Mount Pleasant, and am a 2003 graduate of the Mount Pleasant Community High School. After earning degrees in both Computer Networking and Computer Forensics, I spent ten years working in information technology for a bank in Danville. My next career move took me to Mediapolis and an information technology job in the manufacturing industry for five years. I was excited to see the opportunity to join the MPCSD staff, and have greatly enjoyed getting to know the staff and students.
Technology in the classroom has changed a lot since I was a K-12 student and it will continue to do so each school year. New hardware, software, and security issues are going to be constant. I really enjoy learning about new technology and how it can be most helpful to our schools. Also, a main priority for my staff is, and will always be, keeping our students safe online.
In my free time you’ll see me out on the disc golf course, watching the Cubs, hanging with my cats, or geeking out on technology. My wife is a substitute teacher for the district and a lot of nights you’ll see us at Panther sports or music events. Please reach out to me or my team with any questions or concerns you have throughout the school year. Go Panthers!
